Immaculate
Conception B.V.M.
School, founded in 1895, is located in
Jenkintown, PA.
As a Roman Catholic elementary school in the Archdiocese of
Philadelphia, our mission is to form Catholic students to be full and
practicing members of the Church, to be a center of evangelization that calls
all to live fully the message of Jesus Christ, and to be a center of academic
excellence that rigorously prepares students to be contributing members of the
global community.
In an
atmosphere of respect and acceptance, faculty and staff use age-appropriate
strategies and techniques to enable students to experience a variety of
concepts while being introduced to the fundamental skills in a logical and
concrete way. Both the didactic and constructivist theories are evident in
moving students toward a higher level of cognitive development.
Though
content aware, we are process oriented to motivate our children to acquire and
use skills needed to be independent learners, critical thinkers, and creative
problem solvers. A cooperative, supportive, Christian family atmosphere
promotes moral, pro-social behavior which enables each child to live life to
the fullest in accordance with the teachings of Jesus Christ.
